Perfect Day at CocoCay will be a new destination for Celebrity cruise guests on select Bahamas and Caribbean itineraries beginning in 2024.
Listen to this articleCelebrity Cruises has announced a revamped Caribbean program for the Summer 2024 season. Aboard Celebrity Beyond and Celebrity Reflection, which will call the tropics home starting in April of next year, travelers will be able to experience the Caribbean like never before.
The new program will double the brand’s number of year-round Caribbean sailings and introduces the first weekend itineraries. Both ships will also offer Celebrity guests the opportunity to experience the private island destination Perfect Day at CocoCay for the first time in history.

Celebrity’s newest Edge Series ship, Beyond, will sail year-round from South Florida. Guests wanting a short cruise option will be able to sail any weekend on Celebrity Reflection’s new three- and four-night itineraries.
“Our customers are consistently asking for more opportunities to visit this stunning region year-round, have more weekend options so they can getaway easier, and have expressed a desire for a private island destination. By introducing this new program, we can meet this demand and offer something new and historic to all our guests,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises.
“Perfect Day is a destination like no other, and we are honored to add it to our portfolio,” Bethge added in a press release.
Perfect Day at CocoCay
Located in the Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay is a private island paradise offering miles of pristine sandy beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters.
CocoCay is one of the Caribbean’s most exclusive destinations, only accessible by cruise ship. Prior to the announcement, the resort was only used by Royal Caribbean, a sister cruise line to Celebrity Cruises.
Visitors can enjoy the swim-up bar at the largest freshwater pool in the Bahamas, or experience a day of relaxation and privacy at Coco Beach Club featuring a heated infinity pool, specialty restaurant, and 20 exclusive overwater cabanas.
The resort’s new adults-only Hideaway Beach, debuting in January 2024, will offer private cabanas and a new signature dining venue.
Thrill seekers can experience North America’s tallest waterslide at CocoCay, or soar 450 feet above the island in Up, Up and Away—an epic balloon ride that provides breathtaking panoramic views.
Celebrity Beyond will sail year-round from South Florida
Sailing out of Fort Lauderdale, Celebrity Beyond will offer a mix of six- and eight-night cruises, visiting destinations like Grand Cayman, the Bahamas, Mexico, and the Dutch Caribbean islands of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao—along with Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Celebrity Beyond first debuted in April 2022, and is the newest ship in the brand’s cutting-edge Edge Series. Signature features aboard Edge Series ships like Beyond include Infinite Verandas that open with the push of a button, the wellbeing-focused AquaClass, and the Edge Villas, Celebrity’s first-ever two-story suites.
The ship also offers more than 30 food and beverage options, an outward-facing design that maximizes outdoor spaces and panoramic ocean views, world-class production shows, and sleek staterooms.
Celebrity’s new announcement that Beyond will sail year-round from Florida will certainly delight many cruise fans. However, the change in plans came as many Celebrity cruisers received news that their 2024 European cruises on the ship have been canceled.

Weekend Caribbean getaways on Celebrity Reflection
With the addition of new three- and four-night cruises, fans of Celebrity will now have the chance to take a weekend break on Celebrity Reflection. Travelers will have the chance to escape their routines and refresh in the Caribbean from Friday through Monday.
With almost 40 different itineraries, cruisers will have the option to take advantage of Perfect Day while also visiting the charming streets of Key West and the white sand beaches of Bimini. These two locations are well known for their relaxed way of life and only accept one ship per day.
