Thank you for visiting Should Be Cruising!

This website is purely informational. Information that I share on this website should never replace the advice of a professional.

Although I always give my honest opinion on everything I write about, your experience could differ.

Ads on this website

Most advertising on Should Be Cruising is in the form of advertisements generated by a third-party ad network. Those advertisements will be identified as paid advertisements by the ad network.

I occasionally allow companies whose products and/or services are relevant to my readers to purchase limited ad space on Should Be Cruising. Those advertisements are also clearly identified as paid ads.

Affiliate links on this website

Should Be Cruising also contains affiliate links. This means I may get a small commission if you purchase something through the links and/or banners on my site.

You, the consumer, are not charged extra for making a purchase through any of my affiliate links.

I only post recommendations for items and experiences that I know, value, and trust. All opinions are 100% my own.

Not all of the links on this site are affiliate links. Most are not! I like to include links to products, services, and information that I find to be helpful or interesting to readers.

I don’t mark which links are and aren’t affiliate links, because that would be super-annoying.

Thank you for your continued support.

Other forms of compensation I may receive

I’m sometimes compensated to provide my opinion on products, services, websites, and various other topics. Even when I receive compensation for posts or advertisements, I always give my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products.

Should Be Cruising sometimes accepts sponsorships, complimentary or discounted products and services, and other forms of compensation.

The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. Any product claim, statistic, quote, or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider, or party in question.

The compensation I receive never influences the content, topics, or posts made on this website.

I clearly mark each post to disclose any complimentary or discounted products or services I write about, as well as if I was compensated for the review.

An example would be: “I would like to thank Hotel X for hosting me for three days and providing me with a complimentary spa treatment”.

If you don’t see similar wording on any particular post, it means I paid for that experience out-of-pocket.

Conflicts of interest

I don’t have a large financial stake in any of the companies whose products or services I recommend or review. This website does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest.

However, I do hold a small amount of shares in cruise line corporations. I purchased these shares for the purposes of (1) obtaining complimentary shareholder onboard credit to use during my own cruises and (2) to review shareholder benefits and provide related information and first-hand expertise to readers.

These stock shares are limited to:

  • 100 shares of Carnival Corporation stock (NYSE: CCL)
  • 100 shares of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings stock (NYSE: NCLH)

In both cases, I own just the minimum number of shares to obtain shareholder benefits. As a small shareholder, I use my experiences to advise readers who also own shares in these corporations.
