Find out all about Utopia of the Seas, the newest Oasis Class ship from Royal Caribbean, making her debut in July 2024.
Cruise line Royal Caribbean International has released new information about its upcoming Oasis Class ship, Utopia of the Seas, launching in 2024 for short cruises in the Bahamas.
The new ship will feature firsts and reimagined experiences, like a new Caribbean tiki bar, a first-of-its-kind immersive dining experience, the longest dry slide at sea, newly designed resort-style pools, and more.
“Vacationers are looking to make every moment count by celebrating and recharging with their friends and family, and Utopia of the Seas makes all that possible in more ways than one,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO of RCI.
“With the variety of dining, bars, pools, entertainment, and thrills that make Oasis Class ships revolutionary and the experiences to match on our private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, we’ve combined the best of the best to create the world’s biggest weekend for everyone,“ Bayley continued in a press release.
Bookings for Utopia of the Seas will open to the public on Friday, June 23, 2023. Crown & Anchor Society loyalty members can book a day early on Thursday, June 22.
Here’s what we know so far about what Utopia of the Seas will offer:
Each of Utopia’s five pools will have a different vibe
Utopia of the Seas will boast five pools, each with a different mood ranging from upbeat to lowkey.
The ship will offer resort-style sloping-entry pools, with three main pools at the center of the action—along with three Lime & Coconut bars.
The adults-only Solarium is a tranquil retreat where you can recharge in the pool or hot tubs. The area is complete with a bar, daybeds, panoramic ocean views, and the Solarium Bistro.
Utopia‘s Suite Sun Deck, a private oasis tucked away in the exclusive Suite Neighborhood, will also have its own oceanview pool along with daybeds, loungers, and umbrellas.
Little ones can enjoy their own splashy fun at Splashaway Bay, the mini waterpark for kids with colorful waterslides, water cannons, and fountains.

Active fun on Utopia includes the longest Ultimate Abyss
In addition to the high-speed waterslides you’ll find at The Perfect Storm on Utopia of the Seas, the new ship will also offer the longest Ultimate Abyss dry slide. Now 43 feet longer at 259 feet, the slide will feature new zoom booster rollers and transparent racing windows.
Thrill-seekers will want to try Utopia‘s 10-story-high zip line and the FlowRider surf simulator. The ship will also offer mini golf at AquaDunes, as well as the Utopia Playscape for young kids.
Dining aboard Utopia of the Seas
With more than 20 dining venues aboard Utopia of the Seas, cruisers will have plenty of food options while island hopping in the Bahamas.
Utopia will debut an immersive dining experience restaurant (the cruise line hasn’t revealed the name yet) based on a locomotive journey that promises to engage all the senses! The multi-course experience will combine technology with virtual visits to different destinations.
Royal Caribbean staple Izumi will return, joined by the new Izumi in the Park, which will make its debut on Icon of the Seas in January 2024. Along with the reimagined Izumi specialty restaurant, which will feature double the teppanyaki tables and new al fresco seating, the new Central Park walk-up Izumi will serve fresh sushi and Japanese-inspired sweets from a takeout window.
Now spanning two stories, Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar also returns with a menu of authentic Italian dishes, varietals, and classic cocktails with a twist. The restaurant’s new outside terrace Gio’s Terrazza will overlook the ship’s Boardwalk.
Other returning specialty dining venues include The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar, with live country music complementing Southern comfort food staples; Hooked Seafood; and Chops Grille, now connected to the Trellis Bar.
Of course, Utopia of the Seas will also feature the Windjammer buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with complimentary Main Dining Rooms.
Cruisers can also enjoy quick, casual bites from a new poolside food truck with handheld favorites, or try the Mexican-inspired street food and drinks at El Loco Fresh and Cantina Fresca.
Utopia of the Seas will offer plenty of entertainment
With over 20 distinct bars and entertainment areas, two casinos, live music venues, and showstopping entertainment, cruisers will always be just steps away from fun on Utopia of the Seas.
Pesky Parrot, the new Caribbean tiki bar on Utopia‘s Royal Promenade will be a laid-back paradise serving frozen drinks and fruit-based cocktails made with rum, tequila, or gin.
The ship’s Casino Royale promises to “up the ante” with more than 370 slot machines, nearly 30 table games, and more.
Utopia of the Seas will also feature lots of live music options, including Spotlight Karaoke, Latin hotspot Boleros, and cover bands at Music Hall. Listen to live guitar music at the English pub Bell & Barley, or sing along at the ship’s classic piano bar, Schooner Bar.
Royal Caribbean’s original productions will take center stage across air, ice, water, and theater—including high diving, slacklining, and acrobatics at the AquaTheater; ice-skating spectaculars at Studio B; and Broadway-style shows at the Royal Theater.
Staterooms and suites on Utopia
With more than 20 types of accommodation options on the ship, vacationers will have plenty of choices when it comes to picking the right stateroom or suite.
From cozy inside cabins to rooms with views of the ocean or overlooking neighborhoods like Central Park and the Boardwalk, a range of stateroom layouts will be available—some sleeping up to five or more guests.
Along with suite favorites like the Royal Loft Suite and Ultimate Family Suite, Utopia of the Seas will also debut an all-new category, the Solarium Suites.
