Carnival Cruise Line Introduces Carnival Jubilee’s Senior Officers

Cruise line Carnival has announced the Captain, Chief Engineer, and Hotel Director for its upcoming ship, Carnival Jubilee.

Carnival Cruise Line has named the senior officers at the helm of its newest cruise ship, Carnival Jubilee, just months before her arrival. Captain Andrea Catalani, Chief Engineer Vittorino Perasole, and Hotel Director Pierre Camilleri have been named as the new ship’s senior officers.

Jubilee is being built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, and will begin sailing from her homeport of Galveston, Texas, on December 23, 2023.

“These accomplished senior officers have combined nearly 70 years of experience and will serve as knowledgeable and inspirational leaders to our more than 1,700 team members on Carnival Jubilee,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.

“They will also ensure that our guests are very well taken care of,” Duffy continued in a press release.

Carnival Jubilee’s Captain: Andrea Catalani

Originally from Corinaldo, Italy, Captain Andrea Catalani joined Carnival in 1999 and brings nearly 24 years of experience to the Carnival Jubilee. He has worked on 18 Carnival ships, including Carnival Sunshine, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Horizon, Mardi Gras, and Carnival Celebration, as well as leading the inaugural team for Carnival Vista.

The arrival of Carnival Jubilee will be Captain Catalani’s second time leading a team in Galveston. He was captain of the Carnival Vista when that ship began homeporting in Texas in 2018, and he is now excited to lead the way for the introduction of a new ship in Galveston.

“I feel honored and privileged for leading such a great team of professionals on Carnival Jubilee, which will soon be the most innovative Carnival ship deployed to Galveston,” said Catalani. “This is a great professional accomplishment for the entire team. We are counting the days until we take delivery and can bring this beautiful new ship to our guests in Galveston.”
