Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas Cruise Compass – 4 Night Short Caribbean Cruise 2024

Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas Cruise Compass – 4 Night Short Caribbean Cruise 2024

Are you planning a short Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas and looking for a complete 2024 Cruise Compass daily paper planner?

Here are the full 7 days of Cruise Compass paper planners from my four-night Caribbean cruise to Perfect Day at CocoCay sailing roundtrip from Miami on Independence of the Seas in July 2024.

Although cruisers can also find the daily activities, venue hours, dress codes, and show times on the Royal app, I find that it’s often more convenient to use the printed daily planner to see everything in one place.

However, stewards no longer automatically deliver the printout to your stateroom each day unless you’re staying in a Junior Suite or above. To get your hands on a printed Cruise Compass, you’ll need to ask your steward to deliver it or wait in line each day at Guest Services to pick up a copy.

You can also download a digital copy of the Cruise Compass each day by scanning the “Gone Green” QR code you’ll find on a card in your stateroom. (Paid Wi-Fi isn’t required to do this.) The digital version is in the same format as the paper planners, and you can zoom in and out on the images.

Day 1 – Embarkation Day: Miami, Florida

Our embarkation day was on July 4th (Independence Day in the US) so we had a special dress code suggestion of red, white, and blue clothing. Usually, embarkation day for this cruise has a casual dress code.

Day 2 – Perfect Day at CocoCay

Our only port stop on this short Caribbean cruise was Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island destination in the Bahamas.

Day 3 – Sea Day

Our first sea was also “Dress to Impress” aka formal night, with an elevated dress code in the main dining room. Royal Caribbean recommends suits, sport coats, cocktail dresses, gowns, or “going out outfits.”

Day 4 – Sea Day

Our second (and last) sea day of this short cruise was Caribbean Theme Night, where guests are encouraged—but not required—to wear casual Caribbean-inspired outfits. The Cruise Compass suggested “tropical prints, pastel colors, linen shirts, Bermuda shorts, and sun dresses.”
