22 Inspirational Cruise Travel Quotes (With Photos)

Are you inspired by cruise travel quotes? I know I am, so I’ve put together 22 of my very favorite ones to share with you and spark your wanderlust!

Cruise travel is such a unique way to see the world, with lazy (or not-so-lazy!) days at sea and adventurous days discovering new places and experiences. Reading cruise travel quotes always inspires me to keep traveling, and remember how much more of the world there is to explore.

I’ve illustrated each of these cruise travel quotes with a photo from my journeys on board cruise ships and in some of the various ports I’ve traveled to.

I hope you enjoy these quotes as much as I do. Use your favorites for scrapbooking, journaling, and Instagram captions, or just for inspiration to keep adventuring.

Please feel free to save any of my cruise quote images to use on your own website or social media. Just be sure to credit Should Be Cruising and link back to this page. Thanks!

Great quotes! And kudos for using a photo of Hans Christian Andersen's former Copenhagen home in Nyhavn for your HCA quote. I see what you did there! I admire the thought you put into that!!! :)

Derek, I wish I could take credit for being so clever! I wasn't actually able to take any good pics of any of HCA's Nyhavn homes - I think he lived in three nearby residences. We only had a short time in Nyhavn, so I had to work fast to get any decent pics of the canal houses. The one I used in my quote was actually taken through the window of a moving bus because it was the only way I could get a shot with several buildings in it!! :D I'm sure he was familiar with that view, though. I think it's right across the canal from where he lived.

One of my favourite travel quotes - so very true. Although in 20 years time, we will all probably be saying do you remember 2020, it was a very weird year!

Sarah, that's one of my faves as well! I also think about how we'll explain 2020 to future generations. It sounds unbelievable, and we're only in June!

Great quotes! I love number 2 and 7. Traveling is living and wherever you go becomes part of you. Hope we are all able to go cruising and traveling once again soon. :-)

Jan, I really hope it'll be safe to travel sometime in the near future, even if it's not too far from home!

Love these! Cruising isn't for everyone, but I love being able to stop in lots of different ports and cities that you may not have travelled to by yourself otherwise! :)

Kelly, I agree! Cruising is such a fun way to see a bunch of ports in a short time - and you don't have to worry about getting yourself from one place to another!

We are definitely missing cruising as this pandemic continues. We sadly cancelled all we had booked. So many of these resonated with me. We have so many great memories of our cruise travels. And we have definitely brought pieces of places home with us. The cure for my current discontent would definitely be saltwater! This pandemic may be teaching many of us how little we need. But it has reinforced to me how much travel and cruising is a part of our lives.

Linda, I know how you feel - our cruises were canceled as well. I can't wait until cruising starts up again, too! I'm so glad you enjoyed the quotes I chose, and how they can relate to our current situation :)
