MSC Cruises Bringing Live Guinness World Records Show Aboard Ships

Cruise line MSC will launch a live Guinness World Records show aboard several ships in the fleet, inviting guests to attempt to break records.

On March 13, 2023, MSC Cruises announced new entertainment offerings at sea in partnership with Guinness World Records. Guinness, the renowned officials for record-breaking titles worldwide, will give MSC guests on select ships the chance to compete for a spot in the record book.

The new partnership is part of MSC Cruises’ broader strategy to further elevate their onboard entertainment programs for guests. While at sea, cruisers can participate in the activity during the day and audition for the grand evening show. Lucky finalists will have the opportunity to demonstrate their talents and aim to become the next iconic record holder.

“We’re delighted to join forces with Guinness World Records. We’re always on the hunt for new and engaging concepts for our guests. This partnership provides unique and enriching entertainment at the highest level, and we look forward to continuing to offer a dynamic range of exciting experiences for guests of all ages,” said Steve Leatham, Global Head of Entertainment at MSC Cruises.

“There’s no better way to bring the magic of Guinness World Records to life than to host a live show like this. Families exploring the world on an MSC Cruise can explore the incredible world of record-breaking at the same time—and even become a part of it too!” enthused Marco Frigatti, SVP of Consultancy at Guinness World Records.

Guinness World Records activities are available on two MSC ships

Currently, Guinness World Records activities are available aboard two MSC ships: MSC Seascape and MSC World Europa. The programming will also be available on the line’s newest flagship, MSC Euribia, when she welcomes guests for her inaugural season in June.
