Links to Cruise Line Prohibited Items Policies

When you’re packing for a cruise, you might wonder if you’re accidentally including some prohibited items in your suitcase!

Most cruise lines don’t let you pack anything that could be considered a hazard—from items that could potentially cause a fire risk, to things that could be used as weapons, to substances that are legal in some areas (but not at sea).

Some cruise line websites make it easy to find out what you can’t bring on a cruise. But for others, it can take quite a bit of searching! I’ve found the official prohibited items policies for lots of popular cruise lines and posted the direct links below.

Don’t see a link to your cruise line’s prohibited items on this page? Some cruise lines don’t publish an online list of what you can’t bring on a cruise. However, you’ll usually receive a passenger contract or terms and conditions information before you sail. Prohibited items are usually listed in the fine print!
