The singer, songwriter, and presenter shot to fame in the UK when he was runner-up on the sixth series of The X Factor in 2009. Murs’ best-known album is his third, Right Place Right Time, which spent 16 weeks in the UK Top 10 and featured hits including “Troublemaker (feat. Flo Rida)” and “Dear Darlin'”.

Arvia’s beachside naming ceremony also features famed broadcasters

Sara Cox and Trevor Nelson, two of the UK’s most famous broadcasters and DJs, will host the ceremony from aboard Arvia as well as from the beach.

Prior to the ship’s naming ceremony, both Nelson and Cox will join passengers on Arvia’s March 11 sailing and will host late-night DJ sets on board.

“For our guests watching Arvia’s naming ceremony from home and from Barbados this is a real treat. Olly, Sara, and Trevor really do make a star-studded lineup which showcases the contemporary entertainment for which P&O Cruises is known,” said P&O Cruises’ president Paul Ludlow in a press release.

“It is not often that in the depths of UK winter you can be transported to a spectacular white sand, palm-fringed beach in the Caribbean and watch a live performance from one of Britain’s best-loved stars. It really will be a moment to remember,” Ludlow continued.
